# Create Collection From Template

Create a collection job from an existing collection template.

Upon successful creation, the job ID of the new collection is returned.

**Note**: When custodians or targets are provided both in the collection template and in this action, the values provided here take precedence.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Description |
| - | - |
| Case ID | Select the case to create the collection against. |
| Custodian IDs | A comma-separated list of the IDs of the custodians to collect from. **Note**: When both `Custodian IDs` and `Target IDs` are provided, only the custodians are used. |
| Job Name | The name of the collection job. When not provided, the job is named `<CollectionJob_Date_Time>`. |
| Target IDs | A comma-separated list of the targets to collect from. Each target can be provided as a target GUID, a computer name, or an IP address. **Note**: When both `Custodian IDs` and `Target IDs` are provided, only the custodians are used. |
| Template ID | The ID of the collection template to create the collection from. |
