# Run Record Action

Run a lifecycle action on a specified contract record.

**Required OAuth scope:** `public.records.applyContractAction`

## Parameters

| Parameter | Description |
| - | - |
| Action Type | Select the lifecycle action to run on the contract record. |
| Properties | The properties of the action, as a JSON object of property IDs and their typed values. **Required** for every action type except `cancelAutoRenewal`. **For example:** <pre>`{  "effectiveDate": {    "type": "date",    "value": "2018-05-08T00:00:00-07:00"  },  "standard_terminationNoticePeriod": {    "type": "duration",    "value": "P14D"  }}`</pre> |
| Record ID | The ID or Ironclad ID of the record. |
