# Update User

Update a specified user by applying one or more SCIM patch operations.

**Required OAuth scope:** `scim.users.updateUsers`

## Parameters

| Parameter | Description |
| - | - |
| Excluded Attributes | A comma-separated list of attributes to exclude from the user in the response. |
| Operations | The SCIM patch operations to apply to the user, as a JSON array of objects. Each operation supports the following fields: \* `op` — **Required**. The operation to perform, which must be `add`, `remove`, or `replace`. \* `path` — **Required**. The attribute to change, for example `title`, `name.givenName`, or `name.familyName`. \* `value` — The value to set the attribute to. The `remove` operation does not take it. **For example:** <pre>`[  {    "op": "replace",    "path": "title",    "value": "Vice President"  },  {    "op": "replace",    "path": "name.givenName",    "value": "Alex"  }]`</pre> |
| Schemas | A comma-separated list of the SCIM schemas that the request conforms to. **For Example**: `urn:ietf:params:scim:api:messages:2.0:PatchOp` |
| User ID | The ID of the user. You can get user IDs using the `List Users` action. |
