# Silverfort
> Silverfort is a cybersecurity company specializing in adaptive multi-factor authentication (MFA) and identity and access management (IAM) solutions. Silverfort's technology aims to secure access to various systems, applications, and networks by implementing risk-based authentication methods.

To create the connection you need:
* A Risk API Key
* An App User ID
* An App User Secret
### Obtaining the credentials[](#obtaining-the-credentials "Direct link to Obtaining the credentials")
1. Log in to your Silverfort's admin console
2. On the left sidebar, click **Settings**
3. Click **Silverfort API**
4. Click **Create App User**
5. Copy the *App User ID* and *App User Secret*
6. Copy the *Risk API Key* and select the **Allow 3rd party risk updates** checkbox
### Creating your connection[](#creating-your-connection "Direct link to Creating your connection")
1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Silverfort** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **Access Token** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
* The Risk API Key
* The App User ID
* The App User Secret
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
